Soba enters into a partnership with Soribada, the first Korean P2P sharing service platform
Soribada is an internet music service professional, providing music streaming, download service, and various multimedia contents through Soribada’s own platform. Soribada is the largest web service in Korea holding an enormous amount of content as it provides a service allowing its members to share and download files. In 2000, Soribada was developed as a P2P program that shares music files among users. Since there was no concept of sharing music online, Soribada became the largest music sharing platform in Korea and called Korean Napster.
Soribada provides its own ‘cloud’ service to save music files and download them anytime. Users of the Soribada could also upload their own music on the could other than those purchased at the Soribada. There were lots of content such as movies, music videos, sports highlights, TV programs, and even comic book that users could share and purchase. Currently focused on the web music streaming service, Soribada has been consistently opening Soribada Best K-Music Awards since 2017. As a representative music awards ceremony in the second half of the year, Soribada Best K-Music Awards invited various genres of musicians and idols that dominating the music industry. Based on the enormous amount of content in Soribada, such as Official Soribada Best K-Music Awards Video, Sports Highlights, and Songs, Soba Platform will be a transparent decentralized platform leveraging the power of blockchain technology.
Soribada subsidiary companies such as Will Entertainment, Celuvtv, TV Daily, Sports Today, and CCM Love also entered a partnership with Soba Platform. The extensive and various contents that Soribada group has will be converted into Non-Fungible Tokens(NFTs) purchased and shared in Soba Platform. Soba Platform will be a transparent video sharing and a streaming hub for K-POP and sports fans around the world to collect, share, and stream videos on their favorite artists and sports stars.
